Pilsner-style lager is the most widely imitated beer style produced and consumed worldwide. Even if you don’t know what a pilsner is, you likely had some version of it if you ever enjoyed a clean, yellow, lager. German Pils is the first adaptation of the classic Czech-style pilsner. Maintaining the clean flavours, moderate to intense bitterness, full-body, and general refreshing character of the Czech style, German Pils is brewed with harder water, due to the natural hard water profile of Bavaria, rather than soft water profile waters of Pilsen. This key difference is what gives the german style its uniqueness, accentuating the raw ingredient flavour profiles into a more intense bouquet.
