    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Slightly hazy, deeper amber colour with some golden highlights. Warm-beige, frothy head, average retention and some light lacing. Dark fruits in the aromas with prunes, dates, raisins on a base of caramel malts. Hints of breadiness. The taste is quite hoppy, cutting the sweetness, richness of the fruits and malts. Grassy with a warming booziness. Fairly dry in the finish with some burnt wood lingering. An easier-drinking, hoppier Barleywine that does the job.
