The 2022 Birthday beer. The beer pours a transparent copper colour with a creamy tan head which quickly recedes to a filmy ring. The aroma is light caramel, raisins, and alcohol. The mouthfeel is creamy, full bodied and carbonation is average. The flavour is quite different from the aroma and quite different from past vintages with notes of wood, and citrus zest dominating. The caramel is present, but way in the back.
