It was during a late evening dram involving the Head Brewer of Fuller’s, John Keeling, and a certain Master Distiller, that the concept of Brewer’s Reserve was born. With his appreciation of the qualities of both beer and whisky, John decided that he wanted to create a new strong beer, incorporating some of the characteristics of a single malt. Four years later the result is the ultimate in brewing craftsmanship and innovation. ewer’s Reserve is a strong, full-bodied malty ale that has been aged in 30-year-old single malt casks for a period of 500 days. During this time the ale infuses with flavours and characteristics of the whisky that has absorbed into the wood, leaving a balance of hoppy bitterness and tangy marmalade fruit. Rounded off with subtle smoky vanilla notes and a hint of whisky, Brewer’s Reserve is a rich, amber, 7.7% ABV, limited edition ale that is both complex and distinctive. We think it’s a brew worth waiting for!

Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is licorice, fruity hops and quite lemony as well. Also some fudge and caramel malts as it waems up. Flavour is caramel malts, fruits and some slightly yeasty notes. Some whisky and oaky notes become more present when getting warm. Very nicely balanced.

Pours out in a clear amber colour with arich lasting white foam. Oak, red berries, lemon, nuts, fudge, and orange-peels in deep and complex aroma. Full-bodied with notes of oak, oranges, whiskey, coconut, almonds and fudge and roasted nuts. Peppery and oaky finish of whiskey, roasted almonds and wood. Classy!
