Rich malt aromas fill the nose. Flavors of biscuit and roast are rounded by a rich sweet malt character. This Dubbel is lightly hopped and finishes with Belgian yeast spice notes and a chewy finish. Available in 22oz. bottles and draught.

Aromas of caramel, candi sugar, and bready yeast. Orangeish/ tan body a thin cap with very faint traces of lace. Flavors of bread and some caramel, a slightly dry and bitter finish. Overall its o.k., i was expecting a bit more complexity.

Rich, malty aroma has notes of caramel and brown sugar and just a hint of apple. It pours a clear dark coppery brown with a thick and rather fluffy cream head. Malty flavor has notes of caramel, apple and pear with hints of chocolate and toffee. Smooth, full-bodied texture has a fair amount of fizz and leaves a very satisfying finish.

wow, this was an odd rate .. . while i enjoyed it i didn't really understand the marks i gave it .. brown, flat, low lacing .. roasty chocolate and weird biscuit .. decent .. . The whole purpose of buying the boat in the first place was to get the ladies nice and tipsy top side, so we can take them to a nice comfortable place below deck, and you know, they can't refuse...because of the implication..

Sampled on 12/18/2010. This abbey dubbel pours a medium copper amber color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with decent lacing and nice retention. The aroma is brown sugar, yeast, candi sugar and bready. A medium bodied dubbel. The malts are biscuty, malty and sweet. The hops are herbal. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Nice sipping beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
