The first release from our ‘Foeder Aged Series’ is a tip of the cap to classic English brewing traditions. We brewed a hearty Old Ale to be aged in our new oak foeders and let it rest until it was time to package. Expect soft oak, vanilla, deep fruitiness, rich malt complexity, and a kiss of earthy English hops. A touch of warmth for an Ottawa winter.

A clean amber colour with a frothy beige head, average retention and some mild foamy lacing is left. Caramel malt base with some apples notes and hints of wood. Refreshing mouthfeel with a little thickness, but a thinner drying finish. Toffee taste with the sweetness of the malt, oak-vanilla and some decent hops that cuts the rich lingering. An interesting rich English Old Ale with enough hops to balance things out.
