A saison base beer, aged in cabernet merlot bottles with blackcurrants, Brettanomyces and Lactobacillus, produces rich flavours of blackcurrant, red wine and oak. The funk, typical of Brett beers, is balanced nicely with the tartness from lactic acid to produce a delightful and drinkable sour ale.

Bottle with wax over cap for their 1st anniversary. Pours a cloudy red colour with a pink creamy-frothy head, good stay and some creamy lacing. The aromas are a nice balance between the Brett earthiness, alcohol and wood notes, over the fruit. The taste shows sourness, but not as strong as expected. The blackcurrant again is nicely blended with the wood and milder hops. Quite well-brewed and goes down smoothly.
