Golden sour ale aged for year in Chardonnay barrels. The addition of Lactobacillus creates beautiful, balanced acidity and Brettanomyces contributes classic layers of barnyard funk. We added apricot to this for additional fruity layers to play off the tartness, barrel aged it for a year, and bottle conditioned it for 6 months for some zippy carbonation. It’s like Spring in a bottle.

2020 edition bottle looking like mango juice, not as thick (more hazy) with a small slightly warm head leaving a thin creamy coat on the brew. Your typical good-brewed sour with funk note aromas. The apricots are fairly light here, and a little more in the taste. A nice zappy, fizz in the mouth with the sourness not going to crazy, with a hint of bitterness that cuts this quickly. The alcohol is very well-hidden. Nicely done.
