    Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 10 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Pours opaque sable with a thin buff head. Aroma delivers intense roast malt, oak, honey, bourbon and coffee tones. Flavor features roasted malt, bourbon-infused oak, coffee and subtle honey tones. Mouthfeel offers firm body and strong, lively fizz. Get eclipsed!

Thin filmy cap atop a pitch black beautiful body. Woody aroma with lots of vanilla, chocolate and some plum. Flavor is similar with a nice boozy bourbon draw.

poured black with little to no head unless heavily agitated/swirled...which just happened to open it up a bit more and make the aroma and flavor really come out. vanilla beans, dark chocolate, sweet raisinymalts, and through all that the hops stick around just enough. a very nice beer...can't wait to try the Heaven Hill Rye barreled version of this beer.
