2011! Cool brew. Carmely sweet and still a little hoppy. Good, thick luxurious feel to it even 3 years old. Not an elite barleywine, but pretty solid across the board. Also tastes and smells of raisins. I'd like to barrel this beast.

Gotta love this most excellent brewery... Pours a very cloudy amber with a small head that leaves a little bit of lace down the glass. Aroma is typical of the style, only a little bit sweeter. Flavor is a bit harsh. It has some great potential, but this is a bit much. I’m putting a few away for six months or so and I’ll definately come back to it, but right now it’s on the green side. Palate is crisp yet almost cloying. Overall, as I stated, it needs some time and it will be great.

02.19.05 Tap at Toronado BWF Hazed amber, sticky. White bready, ripe grains. A bit light on the nose but the flavor is big and sweet. Brown sugar. Little hop presence and soft finish.

Poours with an amber body topped by a thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s sweet and malty with nice caramel and candy sugar notes with a nice peppery hop note in the background. Full bodied, smooth and a touch dry.

2003 release. Orange gold color, rather hazy. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, citrus and floral. A medium to full bodied barley wine. Malts are caramel, fruity, woody and sweet. Hops are really out there, grapefruity, piney and floral. This beer is way over balanced to the hops, yet still has a nice malt backbone. I wasnít expecting this barley wine to be such a hop monster. A hoppy bigfoot. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
