Named after the mysterious region of our solar system that breeds comets. Oort is as black as the vacuum of space. Loads of roasted barley and chocolate malts combine with 3 types of caramel malts for a rich full roast mouth feel. Chinook, Cascade and Sterling hops lends a balanced bitterness and subtle hop flavor. This beer is thick and chewy. IBU 77 ABV 8.5% GRAVITY 21°P

22 oz bottle. Pours dark brown black with a medium creamy tan head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is lots of sweet fudgy roast with some oats and a little dark fruit and black licorice. It becomes more acidic and ashy as it warms.
The flavor is sweet acidic roasted chocolate malt with black licorice and a bit of band aid. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, a decent imperial stout.
