English 2-row malt, flaked and roasted barley, nugget hops and traditional Irish stout yeast. "Guinness" black. Dry, astringent bouquet. A Champagne-like beer: dry, refined and informed by its traditions. Embrace the spirit of Joyce, Beckett and Dublin.

I tried this beer on tap on April 30, 2010 at "Duggan's Brewery" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer was poured a very dark brown, almost black, with a 1/2" tan creamy head. The aroma was roasted malt, some chocolate, and some hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was roasted malt. mild chocolate hints, and a nice bitter finish.

A nice Irish style stout that went well with their fish. Almost black with a thick creamy head. Notes of chocolate malt, coffee, and licorice waft through the air. The roasted nut malt comes through in the flavour with a nice bitter finish. Well done in my opinion
