This beer is quite interesting. We take a Scotch Ale and treat it with orange peel, cherries and oak that was soaked in Bourbon to create a beer that recreates the flavors of the classic Old Fashion cocktail. And the name? That's a story for another day, maybe after a few of these.

I had a sample of this beer when it was first tapped, thanks to the owner's wife. Let this warm and it is so good! Brownish-=black in color with a big frothy-creamy textured, off white head. Great hang time on the head. Nice lacing. The nose is oaken. The orange comes forward followed by a slightly tart cherry. The whole bourbon infusion is present but in such a gentle way. Medium bodied. This is the kind of beer that you gently sip as you settle out a stressful day. One of the best from a brewery that is hitting more homeruns than not.
