Patience. Justified. A full-bodied, Single Barrel Bourbon-aged Imperial Stout with rich aromas of espresso and dark chocolate, and smooth roasted malt flavor. Aged for 6 months inside charred Kentucky white oak bourbon barrels to add the natural vanilla and caramelized sugar flavors of the bourbon soaked wood to the beer. Each bottle run is drawn from a single barrel, making each batch a unique drinking experience.

Deep black pour from bottle to sniffer with a mahogany head and a thick, used motor oil viscosity. Pungent armas of whiskey with a tinge of cherry. This is HOT. String Flavors of bourbon - vanilla, charred wood, and smoke. The barrel is dominant. As it warms Flavors of chocolate and coffee become readily apparent. This is solid if a tad green. It is definitely a candidate to be aged so the barrel melds better with the base beer.

Pours pitch black, low low head that dissipates away. No lacing to speak of. Aroma and flavors of chocolate, coffee, whiskey, oak and a little smoke. Mouth is fine perhaps a bit weak but all in all a good rendition.

Sampled at the Jester King 1st anniv. tasting from one of Suds Mcduffs buddies, a little something he brought along to the bottle share. Nice coffee aroma with some hints of wood, vanilla, and burbon. Flavor was true to the aroma, but i agree Suds "pretty nice but needs more girth". Still a nice brew, thanks to the kind gent who shared.

After the Chocolate Peanut Butter debacle this aptly named beer was a much better experience. Mild mannered barrel aged stout with all the key components. Hints of chocolate and coffee are mixed in with a slight oak and bourbon dimension. Medium to full bodied (could be richer)and easy going.
