Dark brown brew sitting under a thick tan whipped cream head. Long lasting head with decent lacing remaining throughout. Brown sugar nose with a touch of alcohol. Full bodied and creamy. Alcohol is a little evident in the finish but still well hidden for 11%. Flavor is slightly sweet up front, brown sugar again with just a little fruitiness. Just enough bittering in the middle to keep this from being cloying. Overall a pretty enjoyable brew.

Tasted at the 2004 Pizza Port Strong Ale Fest. Red amber color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and orange. A medium bodied ASA. Malts are orange and fruit. Somewhat sweet and fruity. Hops are slightly spicy. Nicely balanced. Smooth taste. Does have a lot of lager character. Hides the 11% alcohol very well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

This brew pours with a cloudy amber body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. The aroma is sweet and malty with very slight candy sugar notes. Seems a little weak to me. The flavor is bitter and oaky with some sweet malt notes and a touch of caramel. Medium bodied, smooth and dry.
