Imperial Amber Wheat Ale Deep amber/chestnut color with an off-white head. Roasty & chocolaty aromas with a hint of spice. Lightly roasty notes on a soft palate. Wheat lightens the body and clove-like spice notes are present on the finish. Exellent with smoked foods

Sampled on 2/14/2011 at the Beer Revolution De Proef event. This Belgian Wheat Ale pours a very dark reddish amber color from a 750ml bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is dark fruit, caramel and sweet. A medium bodied Dark wit. The malts are fruity and sweet, raisins, dates and candi sugar. The hops are herbal and earthy. Mild carbonation. Nice balance. A touch of spice and a touch of wheat. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
