Jambe-de-Bois is a generously hopped Triple. Blond, very balanced, and treacherous: the alcohol is never aggressive, which makes it dangerously easy to drink. Fermentation flavours take the lead, with notes of pear and ripe banana. The hop develops floral and spicy notes (white pepper, nutmeg). Its alcohol content makes is rather round, but the absence of residual sugars leaves its finale dry and lightly bitter.

Pours a hazy light golden-yellow colour with loads of tiny particles all over. The head is frothy, warm-white, has good retention and thick foamy-creamy lace. Aromas of citrus, Belgian Ale yeast, light spices (pepper) and some nice mild hops. Citrus flavours as well with some light grain, but this is where the hops come alive. Dry bitterness of grass with hints of plastic. Gets sharper as you drink. A hoppier then normal Tripel. Not bad.
