Our famous Big Bison Ale has been aged in our very own Missouri Moonshine barrels, straight form our distillery to the Brewery. The charred oak characteristics add some vanilla and oak flavors to our already exceptional Belgian style Dubbel.

Big thanks to blue lou for sending this my way! Shared with some friends on a pleasant evening. Amber body with a medium sized head and spotty lacing. Medium bodied, malt forward and fairly clean. Berries, toast, cherries, and caramel. Very minimal woody barrel influence, very little trace of whiskey. Not too much Belgian influence, but a nicely crafted offering.

Pours a luscious clear copper with a very thick buff head that leaves some generous lacing. Malty, fruity aroma has a definite overtone of whisky-saturated oak. Scrumptious flavor's malty core supports oak, fruity, caramel and whisky tones, a whisper of honey sweetness and a not quite subtle alcohol nip. Smooth texture is fairly firm, and fizz is not strong but lingers on the lips and tongue.
