Extra Stout Bodied. A full bodied, confident & imposing cider. Fermented from a premium blend of fresh pressed apple juice, not from concentrate, using Irish stout ale yeast. It produces a slight hint of butterscotch, balanced by a subtle fruitiness and slightly dry crisp finish and a uniquely full & buttery mouth-feel. Artisanal Reserve®. Small batch, hand crafted, super-premium hard apple cider smoothed with pure organic molasses and a kiss of organic honey for a complex, bold, heady flavor. No added malt, spirit or grape alcohol and no added colorants, sorbate or benzoate preservatives.
Cloudy Hard Cider.™ Lansdowne is an unfiltered artisanal ‘cloudy” hard cider. Discerning drinkers will find residual natural apple-wine sediment remains in the cider for a rich, full-bodied flavor. Give a full bottoms up tilt and swirl to disperse apple-wine sediment evenly and ensure and even taste profile through the bottle.

bought at Specs after hangin with scoobs and lauren at boondoggles for the blue moon trial tastings (bacon porter!!) .. . was very intrigued by this .. pours a murky brown .. low foam .. . ghetto blaster! .. . wow, has such a punch of roast sharpness in the nose .. . light apple but mostly an abrasive roast, really like strongbow and guinness mixed.. . . i high hopes for this, and i love the creativity, but not quite rugby .. . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZsLv4S66cE

Sampled on 8/6/2011. This cider pours a slightly cloudy amber brown color from a 22oz bottle. Very small head. The aroma is apples, fruity and sweet, honey and molasses. A medium bodied cider. Fruity and sweet with some honey and molasses. Nice carbonation. A touch sweet, but finishes a touch on the dry side. Very drinkable. Finishes a little on the dry side, still really sweet but drinkable. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

this is the one that got my attention on the shelf - being brewed with stout yeast - so we ended up doing a 3 cider tasting. all were nice, this was the most unique, possibly the least drinkable. depends on your mood i guess. in the mood for cider, this ain't your huckleberry. want a liquified molasses cookie? well here you go! apple elements greatly overshadowed by molasses and a nice dry yeasty spice (subtle). poured a dark amber/brown with a fuller feel thean either the honey crsip or saint. overkill on the molasses, but glad to have tried it.
