Brewed by the Trappists Monks since the 1600's this beer style is a rich, malty complex beer with a wide range of flavors ranging from strong plum to raisin. An obscure deep golden color combined with the rich flavor will surely transport the drinker onto a cloying odyssey.

Available only on draft from the Newport Brewing Company, this is a weak example of the Abbey Tripel style.
Aroma: The aroma is a combination of hops and spices, with some floral scents.
Appearance: The beer pours a coppery red colour with a small white head that lasts a while
Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is thin and champagne like
Flavour: The flavour is pretty weak as well for an Abbey Tripel. Not as much spicyness as I would like.
Overall: Not a favourite of mine
