Unimpressive and maybe a bit medicinal - think Robitussin. Deep, rich brown with a huge deeply tanned head that lingers forever before settling. Antiseptic aroma and flavor. Oddly slick coating in the mouth.

What - this was (partially) barrel aged?! That may be where the slightly off aroma and flavors that I described last night as "vegetal"came from, but damn, i didn't get any barrel aged goodness outta this one. It's a suped up brown that if not for the green olive like offness had some serious potential to be very very good. As it was, it was still decent. Looked good, great body, and some nice complexity with the roast and malt (and I guess bourbon) in there, but I couldn't get past the off notes. Nevermind - upon further review, the brewer's description ablove is for Flight of the Pimp, a totally different beer. So this one is indeed NOT barrel aged. Good. I thought I was losing it.

Pours an opaque dark-chocolate brown with a thick and rather persistent yellowish-wheat head. Strong aroma has malty, earthy and caramel tones and a nutty hint. Rich flavor fills the mouth with malty, caramel, nutty molasses and bourbon tones plus a hint of - Coca-Cola? Firm, smooth texture has plenty of life and fizz. Kick off your clown shoes, be brash, try this one!

Areddish-brown colored beer. Small foamy txtured, light beige head. Not much hang time and no lacing. Full bodied and syrupy. Roasty, nuttiness in the profile. Add some chocolate to the tasting. A flavorful beer.
