Neils Bohr was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1885. His contributions to our understanding of the physical world have made him one of Denmark’s most famous citizens and one of the 20th century’s most influential scientists. In 1922, Bohr was awarded the Nobel Prize in physics “for his services in the investigation of the structure of atoms and of the radiation emanating from them.” A prolific scientific collaborator, Bohr mentored many of the great scientific minds of the 20th century.

Rich and thick to a point of being overly sweet. The sharp spices were too much for my liking and overpowered an otherwise pleasant chewy stout base. Great pour and somewhat inviting, but all in all the ingredients were just too much too soon.

Draught@Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, toffee, some liquorice, alcohol and mild notes of hops and some slight metallic edge to it. Flavour is liquorice, alcohol, dark dry fruits, some toffee and smoked wet wood as well. Quite pleasantly balanced.
