Taking inspiration from a childhood favorite, this rich Imperial Stout was brewed with a whopping amount of cacao and malted milk powder. Finished in bourbon barrels, this Imperial Stout has a coy candy-like sweetness that will hit you right in the nostalgia. We like the truth straight up and our stouts sugarcoated. Milk chocolate, blackstrap molasses and oaky vanilla aromas are punctuated by the unmistakable scent of bourbon whiskey. Full and creamy on the palate, Sugarcoat proffers flavors of sweet and semisweet chocolate, espresso, almonds and burnt chocolate chip cookies complimented by a mild roast quality and a soft bourbon spiciness.

Pours opaque coffee with a serviceable tan head. Aroma yields bourbon, roast malt, molasses and subtle chocolate notes. Flavor offers bourbon, woody, chocolate, roast malt and molasses tones, fairly sweet but not cloying. Texture has firm, viscous body and peppy fizz. Sugar, sugar!
