Poured up via a 750ml bottle that pours up with a deep dark body that supports a dark mocha colored head of foam. The aroma offers up malt sweetened dark roasted malts, a bit of burnt malts and then a lightly tart almost mead blended black currants sensation amid another thicket of wide and big roasted maltiness. The taste is smooth and silky Zhukov goodness (with dark roasted malts, a nice play of chocolate and then nimble earthy and spicy hop notes) plus a sherry fruitiness ending with slivers of tannin like tartness. Solid. Nice balance and play between Zhukov and tartness and fruity sherry notes.
