Rated in Dec. 2010. Pours inky black darkness with mocha head and some sheet lacing. The aroma is sweet molasses, dark roasted malts, oily rich dark roasted coffee and chocolate malt balls. The taste is pretty much the same with richness and smooth boldness at every corner of the palate. I get dark to near burnt roasted malts mixing with molasses and then running into a pleasing chocolaty – earthy rich dark coffee bean yumminess. Deep in the background and coming forward every now and then is a blueberry – boysenberry jam like esteriness that bring about additional depth and yum. Nice. I could drink a vat of this stuff.
