Rated in 2009. Uber rare 750mL shared by THE jdubFL, thanks again man. Pours deep amber with nice dark tan head. The aroma is oak notes running into a solid whiskey breeze to go along with sweet notes of malts and nuttiness in the background. The taste feels creamy and velvety and oh so good. I get chocolate and chewy malts running into whiskey, oak and lingering sweetness.

interesting blend here. not sure where the tartness comes from (RBers complaining of infected bottles, but it was such a small batch, it woulda been noticed, and batch 3 was sourish too). dark murky brown. scotch ale is the main player, with the dry hopping in the IRIS part contributing an odd yet satisying flavor to the mix. oak and bourbon obvious but not overdone, with a sweet n sour finish.

Another world class beer thanks to daknole. I really could drink this one all night. It has most, if not all, of the wonderful things that make a barrel aged beer great. Chocolatey caramel whiskey goodness permeates the aroma with a touch of pipe tobacco. More chocolate, whiskey, caramel, vanilla, oaky notes with a perfect balance of woody oak. Really such a phenomenal beer, it would be a crime if this were available in California on a regular basis. I don’t know how you guys in Florida survive.
