A new discovery at the Sharp Edge Brasserie. In fact, weather permitting (I have been shoveling a LOT of Glo-BULL Warming, lately), I may venture down to the Sharp Edge Brasserie tomorrow night and gulp some more. I really thought Leroy was very much like Corsondonk Christmas with all it's attributes, only not as assertive. Quite mild for a brew of it's style, but very tastey none-the-less. Like I said, going to get some more before the season is officially over.

Bottle: Poured a medium brown color ale with a huge foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma is a mix between some easily discernable candi sugar with some slightly cloying sweetness. Taste is a mix between some robust Belgian malt with some badly dissolves candi sugar with no discernable dry fruits characteristics that are usually enjoyable for the style. Sweetness is also cloying and body could have been fuller. Great carbonation and no apparent alcohol notes. Not the best Belgian Christmas beer out there for sure.

Rubyish red colour, mediumsized white head. Spices. malts, sugary sweet and some yeast in the aroma. Flavour is sweet malts, spices, yeast and some slight caramel.
