On tap @ gig's - an amber-red ale in the glass, bright but not clear, had a protien haze served a bit too cold, cleared as it warmed. 1 finger cap, fair retention. Aroma ia distinctly malty-sweet with some earthy hop tones. Flavour follows aroma - a good blend of crystal and amber malts, decent woody-earthy hop balance, lightly sweet but not cloying, clean finish where a light bittering shows up. I like this rendition of a I-red the sweetness is demure and not unwelcome.

I tried this beer on May 18, 2012 at "C'est What" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent ruby red with a light tan coloured head that laced down the glass. The aroma was grass, caramel, and some floral hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour has a little bit of smoked wood, caramel, and a nice hoppy finish'
