Brewed with Vickery Friend and Resident, Phol Enny,ct his dark German ale is named after the city in Haiti, Bassin Zim, where the local Haiti Research Groups p concentrates their efforts. Money and awareness go to clean drinking water and education. Kolsches are clean,bcrisp, delicately balanced German light beer usually with very subtle fruit flavors and aromas. We added a generous amount of German roasted malt to darken it and add a nice roasty, chocolaty finish. Dunkel = Dark, and Kolsch = light and refreshing.

    Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

    Comes out of tap dark mahogany with a thick and fine-bubbled light tan head. Aroma is not strong, but has good roast malt and fruity notes. Toasty flavor pleases with roast malt, crisp fruity and subtle caramel notes. Texture has average viscosity but some good fizz. A good beer apparently for a good cause.
