Our first Bière de Garde aged in Napa Pinot Noir Red Wine Barrels. Bière de Garde's are essential French/Belgian style farmhouse lagers. This Bière de Garde is a rich chestnut brown, with a malt forward character of toffee, biscuit, and wheat crackers. Lighter in body and low bitterness, be careful, this 7.6% drinks too smooth with a wonderful jam and tannin finish.

Taps clear reddish amber with a good beige head. Aroma yields red wine, woody and subtle malty tones. Flavor features sharp red wine, woody, fruity and shy malty notes - this is almost a liquid wine barrel. Texture offers firm body and lively fizz. Roll out the wine and beer barrels!
