A style that dates back to Germany in the 14th Century, this black, opaque lager is layered with malt complexity and full of rich chocolate, and roasted coffee flavors. Similar to a Stout in many ways, but with a cleaner, more crisp finish. Malt: Pilsner, Vienna, Munich, Crystal-40, Carafa II, Carafa III, Roasted Barley. Bittering Hops: Hallertau.
