Smaug Stout (9.5% alc./vol) is styled after a classic Russian Imperial Stout, but with a subtle hint of Habanero chilies to remind you of the fire and danger awaiting Bilbo and to the Company of Dwarves in their journey to The Lonely Mountain. Pronounced notes of coffee and chocolate balanced with Northwest Hops and a touch of heat produce an exceptional imperial stout, a worthy reward for your hard-fought journey.

Bomber from Central City. This series did not sell all that well, so eventually CC was clearing these out at $1.99 each, or even better, 3 for $5.99 plus a throw-in of free glassware. Nice deal. Murky black pour with a creamy brown head. Nose was mainly coffee and dark chocolate. Swell mouthfeel, damned near buttery. Flavour was the nice balance of coffee and the dark chocolate, caramel sweetness as well. Smooth finish, just sweet enough. One of the better offerings from Central City. Silly me for not stocking up on these.
