This dark Irish stout is deep, dark, smooth, and creamy. The use of oatmeal in the mashtun adds a silkiness to the texture and body of this ale.

Not great but not too bad either. Mild roasted malt aroma. Not the best of heads for a stout but it does leave nice lacing. Medium mouthfeel. Mostly roasted malt flavour almost burnt. Some chocolate and licorice with a slightly bitter finish. I like Central City Brewers so I had to try this twice to make sure it was just a so so stout.

Nitro on tap at the brew pub, Aug 22 2012, 10 Days till marriage. Black, creamy nitro head, flavours feature black patent and burnt brown toast, a suggestion of coffee, but nothing espresso or fancy like that, just a suggestion. Nothing like chocolate, lacks aroma, really balanced and simple to drink, Like Guiness.
