This collar with our friends at Lupinus Artisan Ales is an imperial stout with strawberry and cacao nibs. We loaded this baby to the brim with cacao nibs and real strawberries, as well as some local @cocoandre_chocolatier chocolate sauce. Xertz smells JUST like chocolate ganache. The aroma alone makes you feel like you’re cheating on your diet. This stout has a dark chocolate covered strawberry flavor and a silky smooth mouthfeel. The chocolate is dominant throughout with sneaky tinges of berry on the tongue. We also get strong cherry and espresso notes. It finishes with a deep roastiness and a boozy warmth that coats the tongue. It’s complex and requires multiple sips before the intricate flavors of merlot, espresso and berry notes truly open up.
