Death Starr (named after the infamous super weapon and drummer extraordinare Ringo) is an Imperial Stout aged in a Heaven Hill bourbon barrel for 18 months, conditioned on toasted coconut, pistachios and Madagascar vanilla. This stout is INSANE. It tastes like liquid baklava. It’s sweet and thick and velvety, and the pistachio is coming through in the most delicious way. There is a strong aroma of brown sugar and crushed nuts. The flavor lingers with a decadent milk chocolate, coconut cream, and nuttiness. There is a major creaminess that comes from the mouthfeel-vanilla-coconut combo. Its hit-the-drum-set-with-a-4-minute-solo-good

Pours coffee brown with no head. Aroma generates chocolate, roast malt, bourbon, spice. Flavor produces chocolate, roast malt, bourbon, coconut, subtle woody and spice tones. Texture adds nice body & peppy fizz. Drum up some great beer.
