Sampled on 7/31/10. This Belgian Ale pours a dark reddish amber color, with some ruby highlights from a 22oz bottle. Medium to small sized white foamy head. The aroma is dark fruit, malt, orange and orange bitters. A medium to full bodied Belgian Ale. The malts are dark fruit, caramel, orange, chocolate and spices. The hops are earthy. Nice balance between the sweetness and spices. Nice carbonation. A nice Belgian ale, there are a lot of flavors going on here, some of them I cannot quite figure out. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.
