Concepts of overindulgence for some. A place of igniting genesis for one. The constructs of a malignant fascination left the indelible imprints of our birth. And these things we cannot erase. Thats right, just 20 years ago I first scraped crumbs from the tables at a very enlightening New Orleans hospitality institution. From there I overflowed with figments of schemes until arriving nearly 10 years later at the conception of Burial. The people, the noise, the aroma, and the drink. All culminated with the routine bread pudding souffle and chicory-laced cafe au lait that spearheaded the middle of your journey each weekend celebration. So we implored our forever friends at Methodical to build a blend of choice coffee beans and chicory and get them in the roaster. This custom blend forges the backbone for Bourbon barrel-aged raisins and vanilla beans, which enter with toasted french bread and baking spices to give us our dessert. The end result is a gooey resin of brandy cream, over brown sugary baked sweet breads, with mocha lattes laced with earthy elements. Imperial Stout with Methodical Chicory and Coffee Beans, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Raisins and Vanilla Beans, Toasted French Bread, Cinnamon, and Nutmeg
