From FIrefly. Poured a smallish and short-lived tan head capping a body of clear and dark compper. Aroma was biscuity like no other, as was the taste. High ABV was not evident to the taste. Mouthfeel was smooth and thick, almost syrupy. This stuff would be the tits for a sore throat! Became better as it warmed up, almost like sipping a sherry or a port.

Bottle: Poured a medium copper color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of light sugar with some sweet malt. Taste is not as complex as I had hoped with some notes of sweet malt but no dry fruits or other complexity that the style usually suggest. Body is about average with OK carbonation and no apparent alcohol. OK at best bit nothing to write home about.

A dark amber appearance. A lot of alcohol and caramel showing through in the aroma. Some cherry notes and more caramel in the flavor. A little one dimensional and syrupy. This was pretty good and definitley in the English mold.
