Description: Brooklyn Intensified Coffee Porter starts as a big, chocolatey ale, ready to take on super powers. The first power is gained from months of aging in Kentucky bourbon barrels. The second arises from delectable beans harvested by our pals at Finca El Manzano Single Origin Coffee in El Salvador. The final power comes from Blue Bottle Coffee, who roast the coffee to perfection. Brace yourself for complex notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, berries, and dried fruit, coming to intensify you.

    Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 10 | Overall: 10

Pours rich, warm sable with a very thick tan head. Quality roast coffee is the main player in the aroma, while roast malt, bourbon and wood appear in supporting roles and semi-sweet chocolate makes a cameo. Flavor bursts with roast malt, quality coffee, caramel, bourbon-soaked wood, vanilla, chocolate, dark fruit and molasses. Getting season tickets to the Packers would be easier than improving this beer’s taste. Mouthfeel presents body firmer than many porters I have tried, and plenty of firm fizz. Finish brings out more bourbon and molasses as it sluices towards the tummy. Intense indeed!
