Haven’t been to Brewzzi’s in awhile. I heard about this Imperial Red from a waitress I know. Well, it is a cloudy red amber colored ale. Disappointingly small head. Off white, though creamy in texture. Not much hang time. Settles quickly leaving a thing soapy ringlet around the top of the ale. The hops are bold in the aroma. Citrus and pine dominate. The body is full, smooth and creamy. The tasting is a nice balanced sampling of subtle sweet male and bold citrus hops. Despite the high alcohol content, the alcohol’s presence is not dominate, rather adds to a well balanced, refreshing drink.
