Triomphe is made with a classic Belgian style yeast strain that gives the complexity and slight sweetness you may expect from a Belgian style ale. The beer then reaches deeper providing a smack-down of American grown hops to turn the style on its head. It has a light caramel color, is strongly bitterwith a fruity citrus aroma. Characteristics: This beer style is a nod to the American craft beer movement. Brewers from around the world have been inspired by Belgian beers for hundreds of years. This is the first time I am aware of that Belgian brewers have been inspired by what we are doing here in the US. This style uses classic Belgian techniques and then infuses it with American hops to give you a "best of both worlds" kind of scenario. Enjoy!

    Touring through Michigan the last couple of days and picked up a local beer that I'd never heard of. Not a bad attempt at the style but a little underwhelming. Still, a decent belgian nose, some fruits and bitterness in the flavor and actually goes down real easy-like. Not bad.

    Not a lot of American hop presence as advertised, but still a nice beer to be enjoyed. Dark copper pour with a foamy head and thick lacing produced from strong carbonation. Dry, sweet and balanced. Fruity, spicy with mild floral hops and a nice toasted malt backbone.
