Rich aroma is oily, smoky, strongly of molasses with a firm undertone of fine mocha. It pours a dark chocolate brown with a thick grayish tan and none too persistent head. Flavor is mainly of molasses with an overtone of fine roast coffee and more than a hint of chocolate and toffee. The taste fairly fills the mouth - just a sip delights the entire tongue. Texture is slick, thick and a little tingly. Recommended to all "Stouties."

Not as big a nose as I was hoping, mild stout and whisky. Not nearly as boozy as bourbon county, more subtle, far less sweet, a noticeable bitterness at the end. Very well balanced and very well made.

the smoothest as well as the beer with the smallest body of the paradox series which I have had. Hes light light peat, light citrus scotch flavours and maybe some salty sea breeze picking its way through.dark black, tan head. Some taste like dark toffee, some warm vanilla, toasty french oak something... nice.

looks a little lighter than your typical impy. little head, but carbonation is there. a little thin on the feel, too, but smooth. smells sweet...whiskey and roasted chocolate and coffee malt. little hops. one dimensional but tasty.

pours out black like an eye .. . some weak head, but touches of lacing .. . quite smooth for the abv, touches of tar, and light scotch.. . one of the harder to describe paradox but is a graduate.. . thumbs up.. . "Todd Smells"... oh, I already knew that!
