First Brewed in 2003, and again in 2005 and 2006, this pale golden ale is brewed using hops picked on the morning of the Brew. 2003 saw the use of Fuggles picked from Bickley House Farm, near Tenbury Wells, Shropshire. [2004 hop harvest was marked by the Green Dragon]. 2005 and 2006's brew of Green Valley used Fresh Fuggles picked from Little Lambswick Farm, near Tenbury Wells. Usually we managed to the fresh hops into the boil in the Copper within 5 hours of them being picked! We think that's impressive considering they come from across the border!! The beer is brewed as a pale Golden Ale, with just a hint of darker malts, which allow the fresh character of the "Green" Fuggles to shine through. (The description "Green" is used to show that the hops haven't been dried after the harvest, or packaged in any way - they're just as they've come out of the hop gardens.) A floral nose greets you, followed a refreshing flavour of these beautiful fresh hops, and a lingering bitterness leaves you begging for more.
