Bancreagie (Bon-cray-gee) means "Valley of the White Rock," an homage to the granite aquifer sitting under the brewery. An American interpretation of a Scotch ale, we use Golden Promise, caramel malts, and roasted barley to form the backbone of this beer, while two different kinds of smoked malt add a unique earthy and bacon-y quality. This beer demands some fine barbecue, and so do we. Bring some over.

Bottle from PfoxyJohn. Light tea brown pour, ample head and lacing. Earthy nose and palate of peated and lightly smoked malts, hint of bacon, very earthy hops, a touch of caramel, more peat and hints of smoke as it warms. Really nice Scottish ale - can really get the earthiness of peat and light smoke in this one. I loved it. Want more! Thank you John for this one. Slainte!
