Le Scotch Ale est un style qui vient d’Écosse, mais il y a aussi des versions belges. Les Belges, pour rendre hommage aux Écossais qui les ont libérés à la fin de la dernière Guerre mondiale, se mirent à brasser des bières appréciées des Écossais, en les faisant un peu plus fortes et en y ajoutant un peu d’épices. Le Trinqueur s’inspire de cette tradition et offre de belles saveurs maltées de fruits séchés et de caramel brûlé. À cela s’ajoute une touche finement herbacée de graines de coriandre. L’Écossais en vous en raffolera! Slàinte mhòr agad !

Mildly hazy copper colour with a deep amber highlight. Beige head with nice stay and creamy wavy lace. The aromas are very nice with the spices over the Scotch ale scent of roasted, caramel malts, dark fruits, sugars, grass bitterness. The taste is not as sweet as the nose gives out to be. Caramel and roasted malts blended with the hops. Hints of chocolate, coffee. After having the Ale de Hardy, this is another great brew from this brewery. Well done.
