Taps clear mahogany with a nice buff head. Aroma features toasted malt, caramel, a hint of hops. Flavor delivers woody hops, toastrd malt, caramel, a bit of cloves. Texture offers good body, peppy fizz, a toasty and woody finish. Discipline yourself.

The pour is on the lighter side for a dubbel as it is an almost clear amber color. The head is a light tan color, very frothy, and leaves some good lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, caramel, yeast, and some maple syrup notes. The taste is a tad on the sweeter side as well. Lots of bready malt and sugar notes. Finish is somewhat bitter, but not in a Belgian bitter way.
