http://www.bogironbrewing.com/#theBeers This beer is best described as a Black Lager. It is our variation of a California Common or Steam beer, with a twist. The California common is a lager that is fermented at higher ale temperatures giving the beer the typical light, but distinctive lager taste that is attributed to the yeast. Adding a small amount of roasted malt, which is not a traditional ingredient in steam beers, provides a hint of roast flavor and turns the beer 'wickid dahk.' The light roasty character pairs nicely with the toasty and caramelly malt flavors and the earthy and slightly minty flavor of the Northern Brewer hops. Don't be fooled, however, while this beer may look like 'one of those dahk beers,' it is light, clean, and easy drinking.
