Big n’ bold and as black as night, big hoppy bitterness and rich deep coffee notes up front fade away to a delicate dark chocolate sweetness. Rolling in at 10.6% ABV, she is made for sipping and perfect for those long winter nights to come. Coming in last has never tasted so damn good!

    Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 8

Comes out of the growler an opaque coffee brown with a nice tan head. Aroma starts with roast malt and adds coffee, licorice and anchovy notes. Anchovy? Lemon curry? Mouth filling flavor trots roast coffee, toasty malt, licorice, earthy and hay notes; the tinny undertone is puzzling but barely off-putting. Texture is thick and syrupy, though not too fizzy; finish has coffee, chocolate, caramel and anchovy notes. Again with the anchovies! Doesn’t matter, this here now stout is no loser.

Black color with a beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate, coffee, and licorice. Flavor contains lots of dark chocolate and coffee. This is like a dry stout on roids. You get almost none of the alcohol. Overall an enjoyable beer.
