A light German-style ale indigenous to Koln (Cologne). This ale is treated like a lager, undergoing extensive cold aging to produce a clean, crisp beer. All imported Muessdoerffer Pilsen and Munich malts and hops from the Hallertau region lend a balanced flavor to this ale.

Pours a clear golden yellow with a fairly thick ivory head. Crisp aroma is malty and - not much else. Let’s go further, though. Flavor, happily, is better, malty and fruity with a snip of hops, definitely a kolsch. Smooth texture has a lively and persistent fizz. I get my kicks on Route 151 - but only if I haven’t had too much!
