This malty and hedonistic beer is our ESB amplified. The caramel malts are present in the boozy aroma and compliment subtler notes of plum and smoke in the beer. Like an English barley wine, this beer has loads of complex malts with only slightly less hops.

The beer pours a clear copper colour with a thick slightly off-white head that lingers. Toffee and floral hops make up most of the aroma with cereal malt in the mix. A nice warming sweet butterscotch flavour with a decent bitter hoppy finish. The bottle says 9.6%, but it's well hidden in both the aroma and flavour. Impressive.
